solid.Shape: A = area (S)

The surface area of a shape in square millimetres.

The area is the sum over every face, computed from the exact surfaces. A flat face is measured to a relative error of about 1e-9, whatever its edges. A curved face is measured as Open CASCADE integrates it: exactly for a cylinder, a cone, a sphere or a torus, to about 1e-4 for a face swept from a spline. The empty shape has area zero.

It is what a coating, a plating or a coat of paint is reckoned by.
