Methods

Method Reference: solid.Shape.rectarray

solid.Shape: C = rectarray (S, COUNT, SPACING)

Copies of a shape in rows, columns and layers, united.

C = rectarray (S, COUNT, SPACING) places COUNT = [nx, ny, nz] copies of the shape along the x, y and z axes, SPACING = [dx, dy, dz] millimetres apart, the first where the shape is; a negative spacing runs the other way. It returns them as one shape, as solid.Shape.copy does. This is a grid of holes cut into a plate in one subtraction, or of ribs, pins or bosses standing on it.

 ## A plate 70 by 50 with four rows of six holes of diameter 4
 H = rectarray (translate (solid.cylinder (2, 5), [10, 10, 0]), ...
                [6, 4, 1], [10, 10, 0]);
 P = subtract (solid.box (70, 50, 5), H);
