solid.Shape.copy
solid.Shape: C = copy (S, D)
Copies of a shape, united.
C = copy (S, D) places a copy of the shape
moved by each row of D, an N-by-3 matrix of offsets in
millimetres, and returns them as one shape, united as
solid.Shape.union unites shapes. The shape itself is among them
only where a row of D is zero. Copies apart from one another are
kept side by side, separate solids of the one shape, with no boolean
to compute; only copies that overlap or touch are fused, so a hundred
pins standing apart cost little more than one. This is OpenSCAD’s
for loop of translate.
## Four pins on the corners of a square, one shape of four solids
P = copy (solid.cylinder (2, 10), ...
[0, 0, 0; 30, 0, 0; 0, 30, 0; 30, 30, 0]);
numsolids (P)
⇒ 4
