solid.Shape.scale
solid.Shape: S = scale (S, F)
solid.Shape: S = scale (S, F, P)
Scale a shape uniformly about a point.
Every length is multiplied by the positive factor F, so the volume grows by its cube. P, the origin by default, is the point that stays where it is.
To bring a shape to a size, each axis on its own if need be, use
solid.Shape.resize. The solids keep their colours.
## A ball doubled about its own centre, eight times the volume S = translate (solid.sphere (5), [20, 0, 0]); T = scale (S, 2, [20, 0, 0]); volume (T) / volume (S) ⇒ 8 |
